Glenfarclas

Six generations of the Grant family (no relation to Glenfiddich's) have run Glenfarclas since 1865, and it shows in the old-fashioned virtues: direct-fired stills, dunnage warehouses, deep stocks of sherry casks and prices that ignore the luxury arms race. The style is classic sherried Speyside — Christmas cake, orange and cocoa — and its 105 cask-strength was a category pioneer. Widely loved as the insider's Macallan.
