Bernard Baudry, now with son Matthieu, makes pure, fresh, terroir-transparent Cabernet Franc in Chinon, bottling each soil type — gravel, sand, limestone, clay — separately.

The estate helped restore Chinon's reputation for serious, age-worthy red, alongside a little Chenin white.
