Pale but powerful
Nebbiolo’s great paradox: it’s pale and garnet in the glass yet packs huge tannin and acidity. Its signatures are tar and roses, sour cherry, dried herbs, leather and truffle with age.

Fussy and faithful
Named for the autumn fog (nebbia), Nebbiolo buds early and ripens very late, and only truly excels on Piedmont’s marl hills — it has never travelled well.
