Why a system?
Beginners taste impressionistically ('I like it'). Professionals use a fixed system, assessing the same things in the same order every time. This removes bias, builds memory, and lets two tasters compare notes meaningfully.
◉
The approach
We'll use the widely-taught structure: Appearance → Nose → Palate → Conclusions. It mirrors the WSET 'Systematic Approach to Tasting' used by students worldwide.
