Built by Kirin at 620 metres on the cool, misty flank of Mount Fuji, Gotemba is one of the world's largest single-site distilleries — malt and grain under one roof, using snowmelt from the mountain itself. Long focused on blends for the home market, it stepped into the spotlight with Fuji Single Grain and single malts of clean, estery elegance; its master blender Jota Tanaka is one of the most decorated in whisky.
